I took a five-year master's degree on Computing Engineering at the Jaume I University (UJI) of Castelló (Spain) during the 1996-2001 period. Between 2000 and 2001 I was given several grants for practicum, collaboration and research from UJI's Universitat-Empresa Foundation, the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Caixa Castelló‐Bancaixa Foundation. On 2001 I started a doctoral program in Advanced Computing Methods at the UJI, and I worked there as a contracted researcher (at the Computer Science and Engineering Department) from 2002 until 2004, teaching practical courses on computer networks.
On 2004 I left the University for participating in 2005 in the foundation of Cárabos Coop. V., a cooperative dedicated to services and software development for managing massive amounts of information. The co-op got a special mention for the Best Business Project Prize from CEEI-IMPIVA in 2005 and it was finalist to the Best Cooperative Enterprise Idea in the Entrepreneur's Day of 2007. Now I'm working as a freelance developer.
I took courses on didactic methodology, educational quality improvement and social economy management, and I have attended several courses and meetings on free and open technologies. As a member of Cárabos, I have imparted workshops and courses on this kind of technologies. My favourite topics are computer networks, distributed systems, Free/Open Source software development and translation, and massive data management systems.
